We’re very excited to announce the opening of our new campus for the 2019-20 school year! We are updating our name to create one clear, concise brand, shifting from using multiple names, and moving to one name, PS Academy Arizona, for our brand new K-12 campus.
As we continue working toward our deadline of opening up the new campus in July, we’re making significant strides in school improvements and customizations! We’re excited to announce that tours are now available to existing parents.
Here’s what to do when your child is getting bullied, and how to determine if switching schools is the answer. Unfortunately, many parents are not strangers to their child getting bullied. If your child has an ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) the likelihood that they are getting bullied increases by 60 percent for students with disabilities vs 25 percent of all students.
Our staff tours the new campus for the first time, we review floor plans, and start working on the details.
We are moving to a new, larger campus. This new location will house both Junior/Senior High and Elementary students, bringing our students and staff all under one roof.
Over the last few months, you may have seen some glimpses of our new name and logos… This evolution in our brand was triggered by our students’ voices. This rebrand is for them. To make 2019 the year we eliminate judgement amongst those who don’t truly understand what it is to be exceptional; those who hear the word “autistic” and jump to conclusions based on stereotypes.
It’s that time of year again… #GivingTuesday – the international day to give back and kickstart the holiday season. Many people unite to give back to the causes that mean a lot to them. For us, that means doing everything we can do to help families in need.
October is National Bullying Awareness month. This is the time we all take a moment to think about what causes bullying and how to prevent it. Well, here at PS Academy, we believe that the more unity we can have among students, the less likely it is that bullying will occur. We do so by not only making the classroom a place where students are encouraged to participate, but also through the various clubs offered. This semester we offer over twenty clubs, one of which is community club.
We’re halfway through the school semester and our students have been having a great time taking part in our clubs. We have over 20 clubs this semester! Each student can select the clubs they would like to participate in, and based on seniority and availability, their schedule is determined. Clubs are a great way for our students to practice their social skills while learning and having fun.
In the next few weeks, you will notice that our branding will be changing. We are moving away from ” Pieceful Solutions” and instead are renaming our schools PS Academy and PS Elementary.
