Adam J. Rasmussen, Ph.D., Dean of the College of the Arts at ACU
‘‘Obviously, Matthew's high school must have prepared him to be successful at university. I was impressed by his performance in my humanities course. The readings were not easy as they included theological and poetic portions from Augustine, Boethius, Milton, and Donne -among others. As a professor who thrives on interaction in the classroom, I found Matthew to be an active participant in the entire curriculum and learning activities.
I very much enjoyed his insightful (and often humorous) interactions in our whole class-discussions. In addition, many times I witnessed his contributions to the smaller group discussions as well. Furthermore, his written work was cogently constructed and clearly displayed his depth of thought on the subjects assigned. I would gladly welcome other students with the same college and university preparedness.’’
🎖️ Alumni Spotlight: Noah’s Path to the U.S. Marines
After graduating from PS Academy, Noah joined the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves and now serves as a Bulk Fuel Specialist at Luke Air Force Base. He currently holds the rank of Lance Corporal and has committed to six years of service.
🎓 Tyler’s Scholarship – Grand Canyon University
Tyler was accepted to Grand Canyon University with a Dean’s Scholarship thanks to his outstanding academics! His academic journey shows that a student doesn’t need a traditional path to gain college admission.
“We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see all you accomplish and what a great lawyer you will become.”
✨ Damon’s Work-Experience Journey – Maricopa County
What’s Damon up to now?
Damon is currently enrolled in a work-experience program through Maricopa County. He’s working part-time at a supermarket and has been enjoying both the hands-on experience and—maybe even more—the paycheck!
A proud-parent moment:
We couldn’t be prouder of how independent Damon has become—managing his work schedule, saving his paychecks, and even taking Uber on his own sometimes! Seeing his confidence grow as he navigates the “real world” has been such a meaningful milestone for our family.
🌟Dominic’s Trade School Journey – EVIT
Dominic graduated in May from EVIT’s HVAC program after months of hard work. He enjoyed the program so much that he enrolled in their Electrician Program, which he began in late July.
Before starting school in January, Dominic worked for nearly two years as a transporter at Desert Banner. While the experience was valuable, he decided the medical field wasn’t where he wanted to be and made the move to trade school.
In October of last year, Dominic also became the proud owner of two pugs, and he’s absolutely in love with them!
