Turning Future Dreams into Reality

PS Academy’s Lyfe Launch Transition Program

The future isn’t one-size-fits-all, and neither is our transition program. Lyfe Launch at PS Academy Arizona is designed to equip students with real-world skills for employment, independent living, and post-secondary education. Through hands-on job exploration, community engagement, and life skills training, students build confidence and gain the experience they need to step into adulthood with independence.

Businesses Hiring Students out of our transition program

At Lyfe Launch, we’re proud to collaborate with businesses that believe in empowering students through real-world experience. Our students gain hands-on skills in diverse fields, from customer service to retail and hospitality. Here’s where they’re putting their talents to work. into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

🍗 Chick-fil-A – Serving Up Success

Customer service, teamwork, and efficiency are just a few skills students working at Chick-fil-A gain in the fast-paced restaurant environment, learning the ins and outs of hospitality and food service.

Dairy Queen & Creamistry  – Sweet Opportunities🍦

Students learn food preparation, teamwork, and customer service at two fun places to work: Creamistry and Dairy Queen! From scooping up smiles to handling transactions, they gain valuable skills in the food industry.

We brought on a young gentleman named Garrett, the whole hiring process was easy, sent over a copy of our application and they had him fill it out. Offered to send a copy of it back if we wanted but I opted to pick it up and got to meet him when I did. From there we got him in for an interview 2 days later and he started working the next week. The kids from this school are phenomenal. We have one previous student as well who has been with us for almost 3 years, and now our newest hire. He picked up on everything so quick and easily he has been a true blessing to work with. Such a great kid coming from such an incredible school and program.

The Exploration Lab: Real, Hands-on Experience

Our PAES Lab (Practical Assessment Exploration System) allows students to become “employees” and teachers to become “employers.” Students’ competitive work potential and interest levels are assessed while simultaneously exploring various jobs, using fundamental tools, and developing proper work behaviors in construction, industrial industry, service, computer technology, processing, production, and business and marketing.

Getting Out Into the Community

Weekly community outings allow students to explore a variety of businesses in person with the goal of internship or future employment. These outings also enable students to hone daily living skills, including accessing public transportation, retail shopping at a big box or grocery store, and finding entertainment spots.

Independence: Learning the Ins & Outs of Adulthood

From Personal Finance classes to Lyfe 101 and Apartment Living, students will learn the ins and outs of independent living. This includes things like signing a lease, moving in, keeping the apartment clean, cooking simple meals, being a good roommate, and other practical tasks like making a doctor’s appointment or ordering an Uber.
