Virtual Choir Project - PS Students & Staff Sing Online!

A man playing a guitar

Even though we’ve been apart for the past few months, the staff and students at PS Academy came together to make something spectacular.

In case you haven’t seen it, you should check out our latest video! It was truly a group effort to show that we’re all in this together.

But, just how did this video go from dream to reality?

Mr. O Gets it Started

After Mr. O’s latest smash hit “Stay at Home”, he had an idea to do something that would bring together the rest of the PS community.

The idea was to create a virtual choir.

The concept was pretty simple. Mr. O wrote an original song and all everyone had to do was record their individual part, send it in, and then it would be mixed together.

Participants were encouraged to sing, dance, or even play a musical instrument as part of the video. Fun!

That’s simplifying the process a little (editing is tough for a virtual choir) but it turned out great in the end!

Signifying Unity

The best part about the video is it allowed everyone to participate no matter what their strengths are. The song became an “earworm”, and we all found ourselves humming its tune or singing its chorus through the days.

This project was all about supporting one another and staying strong together. When we work together we’re able to create a wonderful and fun video that’s an “earworm” in its own right!

So when you have a few minutes, give the video a listen or two, we promise you’ll enjoy it.

This is one of the many ways our students and staff have come together over the last few months. Together, whether it be in person or online, anything is possible!
